DESCRIPTION:(English below) \n El Rutgers PRAC les invita a una presentación informal sobre el modelo de historia digital urbana que estamos desarrollando como parte de “Santurce Digital: Mapeo y recuperación de la memoria de nuestra ciudad.” \nNuestra expasante y estudiante doctoral en geografía de Rutgers\, Laurian Rosa Rosa\, ha diseñado el sistema digital de mapeo bajo mi dirección.  La sesión les mostrará el trabajo que se ha logrado hasta ahora y los cinco o seis modelos que usaremos para “montar” material histórico (visual\, descriptivo\, interpretativo…). \nR/PRAC-Santurce: Mapeando y Recuperando la Memoria de nuestra Ciudad es un proyecto urgente dedicado a restaurar digitalmente el significado histórico y cultural del núcleo urbano de Santurce\, Puerto Rico. Santurce no es simplemente una ubicación; es un lugar vital marcado por múltiples crisis superpuestas\, pero impulsado simultáneamente por persistentes intentos de revitalización. The session will showcase the work accomplished so far and the five or six models we will use to “assemble” historical material (visual\, descriptive\, interpretive…). \nR/PRAC-Santurce: Mapping and Recovering the Memory of Our City is an urgent project dedicated to digitally restoring the historical and cultural significance of Santurce’s urban core\, Puerto Rico. Santurce is not merely a location; it is a vital place marked by multiple\, overlapping crises\, yet simultaneously energized by persistent attempts at revitalization. Our goal is to transform fragmented histories and memories into a cohesive\, interactive resource: an interactive\, bilingual digital map of the “classic” commercial corridor of Santurce\, roughly spanning the period from 1910 to 1990.
