Rutgers/Puerto Rico Archival Collaboration (PRAC)
La Colaboración Archivística Rutgers/Puerto Rico (PRAC, por sus siglas en inglés) es un proyecto de colaboración con instituciones archivísticas en Puerto Rico que busca ayudarles a preservar y hacer accesibles importantes colecciones de archivos y publicaciones periódicas, en coordinación con las necesidades de investigación de un grupo de trabajo de profesores y estudiantes graduados de historia de Puerto Rico.
Actualmente, el PRAC trabaja en siete instituciones a lo largo de isla, en donde a través de su programa de internado, se asignan estudiantes e investigadores para organizar, procesar y digitalizar colecciones relacionadas a Puerto Rico.
The Rutgers/Puerto Rico Archival Collaboration (PRAC) is a collaboration project with archival institutions in Puerto Rico that aims to help them preserve and make accessible important archival collections and periodical publications, in coordination with the research needs of a working group of faculty and graduate students who study Puerto Rico History.
Currently, the PRAC works in seven institutions across the island, where, through its internship program, students and researchers are assigned to organize, process, and digitize collections related to Puerto Rico.

La Biblioteca Nacional de Puerto Rico mantiene bajo su custodia sobre 70,000 títulos únicos con un enfoque en Puerto Rico y el Caribe. Nuestro intern del PRAC trabaja en las colecciones de Revistas Puertorriqueñas, Colección Fernando Picó y bibliotecas particulares. The National Library of Puerto Rico holds over 70,000 unique titles with a focus on Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Our PRAC intern who works on the Puerto Rican Magazines collections, the Fernando Picó Collection, and private libraries. The Puerto Rican Collection at the University of Puerto Rico was one of the first institutions to be part of the PRAC. Since this collaboration, hundreds of materials have been digitized. The Dr. Rafael Picó Library at the School of Planning of the University of Puerto Rico is composed of an extensive bibliographic collection, as well as a large number of official documents and publications from the Government of Puerto Rico. El Archivo de Ciencias Sociales y del Caribe (ACSC), adscrito al Instituto de Estudios del Caribe, es una sala especializada al servicio de docentes y estudiantes investigadores que posee cientos de materiales especializados sobre el Caribe, Afroamérica y Puerto Rico. The Archive of Social Sciences and the Caribbean (ACSC), affiliated with the Institute of Caribbean Studies, is a specialized room serving educators and student researchers that houses hundreds of specialized materials on the Caribbean, Afro-America, and Puerto Rico.
