Daniel Alejandro Ramos Matos es estudiante doctoral en Historia en Lehigh University, donde se especializa en historia colonial de América Latina y el Caribe. Su investigación se centra en la diáspora africana en el Caribe del siglo XVIII, con un enfoque particular en la movilidad marítima de cimarrones del Caribe no español hacia territorios bajo el dominio de España. Ha presentado su trabajo en conferencias nacionales e internacionales y ha contado con el auspicio de la American Historical Association, el Lawrence Henry Gipson Institute for Eighteenth-Century Studies y el Center for Latin American Studies de University of Florida. Daniel cuenta con un Bachillerato en Historia de las Américas de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, y una maestría en Historia y Antropología de América de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Daniel Alejandro Ramos Matos is a doctoral student in History at Lehigh University, where he specializes in colonial Latin American and Caribbean history. His research centers on the African diaspora in the eighteenth-century Caribbean, with a particular focus on the maritime mobility of maroons from the non-Spanish Caribbean to Spain’s American domains. He has presented his work in national and international conferences, and has received support from the American Historical Association, the Lawrence Henry Gipson Institute for Eighteenth-Century Studies, and the University of Florida Center for Latin American Studies. Daniel holds a B.A. in History of the Americas from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, and an M.A. in History and Anthropology of America from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
