Archivo General de Puerto Rico–Content Survey

Como parte del trabajo del PRAC, el Prof. Lauria Santiago está llevando a cabo un inventario “aproximado” de colecciones no catalogadas y otras colecciones en el AGPR. En apoyo a la capacidad del AGPR de servir al público e investigadores históricos, la encuesta incluirá una descripción completa de las secciones que requieren organización. La Directora del AGPR, Hilda Ayala, y el Archivero Pedro Roig han brindado acceso y apoyo para este esfuerzo de mas de año de duración.

Se espera que el inventario finalice en el verano de 2025. El trabajo implica una encuesta inicial de los fondos nombrados y luego regresará para proporcionar descripciones más profundas basadas en el contenido.

As part of the work of the PRAC Prof. Lauria Santiago is carrying out a “rough” inventory of uncatalogued and other collections at the AGPR.  In support of the AGPR’s ability to serve the public and historical researchers, the survey will include a full description of sections that require organizing.  AGPR Director Hilda Ayala and Archivist Pedro Roig have provided access and support for this year-long effort.

The inventory should be finished in the Summer of 2025.  The work involves an initial survey of named holdings and will later return to provide deeper content-based descriptions.

This section will provide updates on the project and descriptions of the sections that need attention.  This survey will identify opportunities for researchers and foundations to help us assist the AGPR Staff in their work.
