Tery Angelí Vélez comenzó estudios en Literatura Comparada en la Universidad de Puerto Rico, y posee un Bachillerato en Bellas Artes de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Ponce. Cursó la Maestría en Comunicación con especialidad en Medios y Cultura Contemporánea en la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, y actualmente estudia Filosofía en la Universidad de Puerto Rico, recinto de Río Piedras. Parte de la práctica artística y el estudio del performance, pasando por la crítica de arte, el comentario cultural y la teoría política. Fue miembro fundadora de la Sociedad Psicoanalítica de Puerto Rico aliada a la Escuela Freudiana de Québec, y actualmente colabora con la Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Filosofía. Le interesa la articulación de las diferencias al interior de las formaciones políticas, la estética y la teoría psicoanalítica. Como parte del PRAC se encuentra trabajando con la Colección Juan Mari Brás en la Biblioteca y Hemeroteca Puertorriqueña, UPR-RP.
Tery Angelí Vélez began her studies in Comparative Literature at the University of Puerto Rico and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ponce. She completed a Master’s degree in Communication with a specialization in Media and Contemporary Culture at the University of the Sacred Heart, and she is currently studying Philosophy at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus. Her work engages artistic practice and the study of performance, as well as art criticism, cultural commentary, and political theory. She was a founding member of the Puerto Rico Psychoanalytic Society, affiliated with the Freudian School of Québec, and she currently collaborates with the Puerto Rican Society of Philosophy. Her interests include the articulation of differences within political formations, aesthetics, and psychoanalytic theory. As part of PRAC, she is working with the Juan Mari Brás Collection at Biblioteca y Hemeroteca Puertorriqueña, UPR–RP.
